With decades of combined experience performing independently in bands across Australia and internationally, Melbourne based 5-piece, FIGURES, came together at the start of 2014 following an unexpectedly successful campaign on Melband. Usually a painstaking process, cynicism was at an all-time high trawling through band classifieds, but in this case, they struck it lucky. After a whirlwind of auditions, jams and rehearsals the core members found a strong mutual bond and realised they had something that worked. With varying backgrounds, tastes and styles it was a rapid-fire series of creative collisions which has resulted in some of their best music to date.
Fast forward to 2015 where they spent a substantial part of the year writing and recording with some of Melbourne's best and then making the pilgrimage to the US to meet and work with some industry heavyweights. These early years tested the band but ultimately resulted in a stronger and even more committed line up.
Playing with some of the best bands & venues Melbourne has to offer, FIGURES has established themselves as a powerhouse unit with plans to go national in 2017 in support of their upcoming second EP.
Joining Figures on their return to The Workers Club are Melbourne Progressive Rock five piece Enlight, Darcee Fox, and returning from a successful tour of Asia, Nobody's Home.
