It’s a tough time to be an emerging writer. In a politics of fear, where language is being weaponised, we need our storytellers more than ever. Hope is our best defence; this year’s Emerging Writers Festival looks to the narratives of the present moment to make us a map for the future. Join over 200 of Australia’s best and brightest emerging storytellers to discuss, debate and connect to community. This year, the Workers Club will host two very special events in our festival.
Lost the Plot is a live literary game show. If you’ve ever wanted to watch some true lit nerds battle it out on stage, now’s your chance. It will be wacky, it will be wordy, it will be worth putting down your book for. Featuring songs about grammar performed by host Louisa Fitzhardinge, challenging questions, and hilarious games for all the true book nerds.
