Mickey Kojak (Single Launch)

Man of many instrumental hats, Mickey Kojak is back with his latest single 'All That Acid'; an indie banger that is more shout-along than sing-along. Now he prepares to bring the mayhem to the stage, making an appearance in two intimate performances across Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne’s The Workers Club. Coming along for the ride are Sydney indie soul-rock 5 piece Slow Nomad and the soulful party-starting duo Close Counters. So much soul.
Kojak’s music is multifaceted. From honest lyrical ballads with lush, ethereal soundscapes to face-melting electronic anthems; 'All That Acid' definitely favours the latter. The song came about in the lead up to Mickey's debut live show earlier this year at The Lansdowne where he wanted to perform a track that was excessive, fun and easy to remember. After tinkering around on a few old keyboards, recording some big dirty snare drums and getting a crowd of m808's to shout into a microphone, 'All That Acid' was born.
“[All That Acid] bangs so hard it should come with a health warning.” - triple j. So revellers, you’ve been warned. Purchase tickets at your own risk. Please.
