Sunday 4th February (matinee)
Doors 1:00pm / $8 Door
After successfully launching her Single ‘Garden’ in January, Rachel Caddy and her 4 piece band will be returning to the stage to headline a Sunday Matinee show at The Workers Club. Rachel’s style expands across different genres, from plaintive acoustic guitar picking reminiscent of an indie-folk style, to writhing bass and powerful drums accompanied by spaced-out psychedelic guitar parts. Her songwriting explores both ends of the scale from delicate to powerful, and she paints the imagery in these songs vividly – drawn from life and nature, loss and small victories. She will be joined by uni mates 'Verse-a-tile' who pride themselves in fitting into several genres from Jazz to Country and therefore are likely to please almost any music lover. Expect impressive guitar solos and powerhouse vocals. Opening the show will be Modern Folk Rock outfit Grand Pine who are led by Singer/Songwriter Guy Perkins. Their stunning music video for an equally stunning, yet understated Single ‘Fail Me’ was recently selected for the Canberra Short Film Festival so be sure to come down early to check these guys out.
