The Gems are back!
After a long break, the time has come to get back on stage with a bunch of new tunes.
The Gems play guitar driven pop rock music with boy/girl harmonies and they're the friendly kind of people who would give you a bowl of soup with no attitude to sell.
In 2010 they played their final show after 5 years of immense activity on the Melbourne circuit. Happy life events and some challenging out of no-where surprises forced the band out of the scene for several years. Now they're back with more experiences, fresh eyes and insights and even more colourful melodies to share. Songs include commentary on current modern world views, the human condition and what must prevail.
Fun! The Gems are all about fun and love and they are so looking forward to getting shiny with you.
The breaking of hiatus takes place at The Worker's Club on Saturday 15th December 2018. It's a matinee show, so you can still get your beauty-sleep.
Support comes from the handsome lads of Lip Sync Chicks bringing their new wave-esque 60s song structured reduced, stylish brand of guitar music.
Also Johnny & Michael take their love of reverb drenched 60s and dulcet jazz crooners to classic and modern songs.
Cheesie kicks off the afternoon and according to her theme song, she's got moves that your body can't handle. Expect some catchy pop rock tunes played on electric guitar, backed by a drum machine, and delivered with lots of heart.
