Sunday 24th September (matinee)
Doors 1:00pm / $5 Door
After a few months away from the stage, Vanderlay return to The Workers Club for cruisy Sunday matinee show, roadtesting some new material from their forthcoming, sophomore EP.
Based in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, Vanderlay craft intricate, melodic folk music both nuanced and ambitious in it’s scope. Songwriter Caspar Conrick sketches out melancholy, introspective songs, detailing everything from a drunken goodbye, to a sobering funeral procession. His carefully worded verse is matched by the bands thoughtful musical arrangements, incorporating elements of Americana, country, and ambient folk.
Vanderlay will be supported by the wonderful Shukura Chapman, playing her unique blend of soul, roots & blues, as well as the soaring voice and soft guitar of Aurora Rose (Windari).
